I very much enjoyed taking Lioba Brückner acrylic & oil painting course with the dragon & flowers in the background. I haven't finished my piece yet, but have looked at each of the online painting instructions. I really do enjoy Lioba's patient & informative method of teaching. And I think the opportunity to be in the class forum FB group is a bonus! You get to see and comment if you wish on each other's progress & it's encouraging and inspiring to see how differently we each interpret the finished painting. Once I've finished this piece, I will definitely look forward to participating in another of Lioba's classes.

If someone had shown me the two pictures I have created after courses and guidance with Lioba Brückner 5 years ago, I would not have believed it. Yes, challenging for me in many ways, but still it has been possible to create pictures that appeal to both me and everyone who has seen them. Lioba has shown us the way in an incomparable way. With wonderful mixed media techniques, she opens new doors for everyone who takes the courses. On my first course, I learned to use colored pencils on top of watercolor paint. In addition, it was new for me to use gouache paint. On my second course this fall, I learned to use oil paint for the first time. And that in combination with acrylic paint. An incredibly exciting process that I am absolutely sure I want to do again. This really gave me a taste for more. We as students can join the courses live, and so we have the opportunity to ask all sorts of questions along the way that Lioba willingly answers. Here we experience a light and fun atmosphere, which makes the hours fly by quickly. The videos are available forever afterwards, so if you are late in completing it doesn't really matter. There is room for all possibilities here when it comes to the time perspective of the finished product. I can highly recommend Lioba’s courses, you will definitely learn a lot and make stunning paintings.

I have followed a few courses by Lioba Brückner and it has been a real pleasure each time! I paint all sorts of subjects but love portraits and even though my “style” is closer to impressionism I still love learning from Lioba because she takes you out of your comfort zone to try her style, and other mediums and learn different techniques that otherwise you would stay away from. I find this has been great for my further development. Besides, I would do it even if it was only for the great enjoyment and thrill it is to participate on her events!
I loved taking Lioba's class this August. It was a really educational experience with lots of opportunities to ask questions and get answers in multiple mediums. I learned a lot about how to work with paint and how to adjust it to my needs. I really appreciated the speed of her classes. It was a quick course but over a month’s time frame so I could work on my own schedule but also have accountability and motivation to put time aside to work on my painting. My biggest takeaways with this course was to put more time and effort into the small details which add up to make a HUGE difference in the final result. To keep practicing and if you mess up it's not the end, just let it dry and paint over it as many times as needed.
I have attended 7 online courses with Lioba Brückner, which has completely transformed how I paint. Lioba is a wonderful and talented teacher, who shares with us her knowledge and assists us on every step during the course. I have learned amazing new techniques and how to use various painting mediums: watercolor, colored pencils, gouache, oil paints, acrylics, etc. In addition, I have learned how to create a good reference for my paintings using AI and Photoshop. I highly recommend the online courses with Lioba and assure you they will take your art to the next level.
I have attended three workshops in a row now and I just love working with Lioba.
Not only is she great in explaining and showing everything, the live sessions are also really fun. The community is amazing and there is never a question that won't find an answer.
I learned a lot about painting skin tones in many mediums and got a lot better with hair.
And the most important thing, I learned to paint loser and even abstract brushstrokes. That was something I was really afraid of before.
Your paintings will have more impression and atmosphere while still needing less time to the finish line.
So if you're into painting vibrant, magical and here and there little abstract artworks with mixed media (watercolors, gouache, colored pencils...) and/or acrylics and oils then look no further and join Lioba Brückner’s next workshop. I will definitely be attending.
I loved the mixed media course. It was enjoyable to be in class, and I truly appreciate that Lioba's created several images for those who are not familiar with the different computer programs, allowing us to download them. I admire how Lioba listens to everyone and considers all input - it’s so refreshing. I still refer to Lioba's explanation about brushes and painting knifes. I really appreciate how she helps so many people explore their talents. Thank you so much, Lioba Brückner, for everything.
I participated for this workshop in january 2024 and was surprised of how well an online workshop can be organised. Not just picking a reference and painting along, but also to have a chat on a weekly basis with all the other participants helped me alot in improving my art. One of my highlights was the big feedback session at the end aswell as the tips and tricks from Lioba herself. It was my first use of acryllics for several years and it turned out great. I've received a great skillset during this month and would recommend it to anyone who is brave to overcome the "ugly" phase in order to create a real piece of art.
Lioba’s most recent course was my first real introduction to painting and I have to say it blew my preconceived notions of how much I would learn out of the water. Her teaching methods are so nurturing and the techniques I learned have made my art journey so rewarding and inspiring. Without question it was one of the best decisions I could have made!
As a self thought artist this course was what I needed at that point. Lioba is a great teacher and more importantly a beautiful person. It was a pleasure to follow the videos and try my best with my painting. It was a real challenge and I pushed myself to finish the course. No doubt I would either take another course from Lioba and/or retry this one. The course is dense so you can follow it multiple times before you learn everything.
Also I really enjoyed the mixed media - acrylic and oils - technique which I started to implement more on my work thanks to this course. Overall it was a challenging, amazing course!
I have attended 6 online courses with Lioba, and my art has elevated so much!I have learned both her mixed media techniques, acrylics and Oils, watercolors, and pencils, and this knowledge showed me new ways to use paints and materials and boosted my creativity! What I love most in the lessons is that Lioba teaches us how to use AI and Photoshop to create stunning reference photos and mock-ups. AI is changing the world we live in, and I strongly believe that an artist who is progressive should become skilled in how to use AI tools in art!

I absolutely loved Lioba's acrylic and oil painting course! I have taken many courses in the past and over the years, but this one helped me break the roof off my skillset and the painting I created is my best one to date! Lioba is an excellent teacher and a joy to listen to and watch while she paints showing step by step, every brush stroke and how she mixes color. In the simplest terms Lioba has given me back the greatest gift imaginable, she’s taught me how to have fun with my art again.
For too long I’ve been stuck, struggling to even start a piece of work, let alone finish it because I’ve felt restricted or limited by old rules or not knowing the right processes but Lioba’s techniques and approach to mixed medium has provided me with a clear path to not only create beautiful artwork, but she’s also given me the tools and most importantly CONFIDENCE to create the artwork I want to make long after this course has ended, using my taste, my materials, and my style to the best of my ability. I don’t think she’s fully aware of how generous her course has been. There is no gate keeping here, no trade secrets, it’s all straight talking, helpful, honest advice.
Lioba is an experienced and gifted artist who not only truly knows how to paint, she knows how everything works, what doesn’t work, why it doesn’t work and is willing to EXPERIMENT. She has saved me so much time figuring out this stuff on our behalf. And for that I am so grateful. Plus she’s a really nice person as well. As someone who has taken a number of courses with teachers who promise results but can’t deliver just because their experience isn’t up to standard or they just won’t invest the time in following up with their students, you can see from the standard of Liobas work that she knows what she’s talking about and the community she’s built is equally as supportive and eager to see you succeed. Buzzing with enthusiasm and genuinely really interested in her students I challenge you to not learn something from her. She’s truly amazing! Thank you!!

I love Lioba’s classes so much, I've attended several so far. They are a great opportunity to learn a lot and have fun. She is a very interesting and caring teacher, every time I’ve participated in a live lesson, I’ve improved a lot. You can ask lots of questions and she will help you understand and improve. She always chooses interesting models to paint and shows different techniques. Her classes are like an adventure. I have attended four online courses and I'm about to attend a fifth one. I'm also a member of Lioba's Patreon. I have learned so many valuable things with Lioba, and my art has elevated I could say even totally changed. Lioba is a wonderful teacher that shares with us her knowledge and she is always willing to help us when we face difficulties. I love that she teaches us how to use AI and technology to help us with our art. This is amazing. We have a wonderful private Facebook group in which we share various tips and information about art. After all the things I have learned with Lioba, I feel a lot more confident with my art and a lot more inspired to do new things! I found Lioba on Instagram many years ago. I was delighted to find by happy accident that she was offering a live guided art workshop from start to finish. Participating was a great kickstarter for me to awaken my dormant art practice. I learned so much by watching and participating live. Lioba takes questions as she goes along and her commentary is great I really enjoyed this workshop and would gladly do another.

The four week Mixed Media Portrait Course with Lioba was an amazing and such fun experience! Apart from being a fantastic artist, she is a very good and patient teacher, always communicating with her students and super friendly at that. The course was clear and very interesting to follow, with Lioba giving us tips and tricks up her artistic sleeve how to make beautiful, harmonious, dreamy yet realistic portraits. I am particularly thankful to her for the critique session at the last lesson, where she analyzed our paintings one by one and gave us valuable advice on how to improve and make things even better. It was an honor and a pleasure to be able to learn from such a talented and friendly artist. If there is a chance again I will definitely do another course with Lioba and I am absolutely recommending her to anyone interested.
I really think that following a portrait course from Lioba is very helpful. You get your own personal critique and this has helped me so much to grow as an artist. Sometimes you are blind to your own mistakes and she helps you see them and learn from them. I would totally recommend following a course from her!

I had such a great time doing the course with Lioba! We learned not only about how to paint a portrait, but also how to mix different skin tones or approach things like cloth or flowers.
I would definitely recommend her course to every one who is interested in watercolour/ mixed media portraits, even if you are a beginner artist. She is a really friendly teacher and answers all the questions during and after the lessons. Thanks a lot again!

This four week course with Lioba was such a fun learning experience. As an artist that works primarily in acrylics and oil I was excited to use my art supplies that I have had for years but rarely gravitate towards. I learnt many techniques that I will put towards my future paintings. Lioba was so welcoming and easy to understand, willing to answer any of our questions it was a joyful experience. I have since gone back to the lessons a few times to work on different portrait pieces using her advice, and cementing it in my brain. I would most definitely recommend her classes, even if you already consider yourself good at art. There is always something to learn. I look forward to Lioba’s future classes.

Lioba's watercolor class was truly an amazing experience! I learned so much from her technique and talents. This was my first ever watercolor class, and I was blown away by what I was able to create.
